After receiving a degree in engineering from the Technical University in Karlsruhe, Dirk Wilken proceeded to join Business Consultant Baumgartner and Partner. He assisted medium-sized enterprises in the optimization of their production processes. He then moved on to work as Chief Operating Officer on the development of Rembold & Holzer North America, Inc. in the US. The company was listed as Brain International AG on the “Neuer Deutscher Markt” in 1999.

After returning to Germany, Dirk joined the technology sector and worked for ATRIOR AG. As chairman of both e-Loft AG and rarecompany AG, Dirk spear-headed decisions for investments in new business models and was responsible for their development. In 2001, he and Christoph Boehringer founded Mediatum GmbH as a specialized recruiting company for the life sciences industry.

In addition to his consulting work, Dirk has managed Mediatum International GmbH since 2011 and is responsible for the international expansion of the highly specialized and successful recruiting company.

Together with Christoph, Dirk is also a Managing Partner of CD-Venture GmbH and, as such, is involved in the advisory boards of multiple companies.
