After his training as an industrial business manager, Mike Steyer decided to receive further training in business administration and as a pharmaceutical consultant with Bayer AG in Leverkusen. He started his international career in the pharmaceutical industry 1998 in Milan, Italy, working for Bayer S.p.A. as a Sales Representative and subsequently as a Product Manager for anti-infective.

In 2002, Mike was appointed to the position of Operations Manager for Global Strategic Marketing in the Pharma Division for Bayer Pharmaceuticals LLC in West Haven, Connecticut. He moved into Sales Management within the same subsidiary and promoted post-launch activities for Men’s Health as well as the launch of an additional antibiotic.

After receiving his MBA from the Franklin F. Olin School of Management at Babson College, Mike started his career as a business consultant. He initially worked for Capgemini Consulting and later moved on to Putnam Associates. He specialized in post-merger integration as well as the optimization of marketing and sales strategies of pharmaceutical and medical products for all phases from development through sales.

Since 2009, Mike has worked as an Independent Business Consultant for German and American companies. He focuses on life sciences.

Since January 1, 2012, Mike joined the team at Mediatum US Inc in Boston as Managing Director.
