After receiving her degrees in law and business administration in Innsbruck and Salzburg, Ulrike Ischler joined the product management team at Lederle Arzneimittel Cyanid GmbH in Vienna. She additionally pursued and received training as a certified pharmaceutical consultant. Ulrike also worked for BP Austria and Asta Medica AG in Frankfurt as a Marketing Manager.

Starting in 1994, she worked for several years as an independent consultant for German and Austrian companies in the life sciences industry. She concentrated mostly on new businesses, marketing, and human resources. She headed the expansion of a German pharmaceutical company throughout Germany, and assisted in the search of licensees. Ulrike also helped a German company in the area of food supplements with its expansion into the neighboring Austrian market.

After her return to Vienna, she successfully developed a new pharmaceutical division for the recruiting company Neumann & Partner. During this time, Ulrike held multiple executive and expert positions in both the life sciences field and the finance sector.

Ulrike Ischler is the Founding and Managing Partner of Mediatum Austria.
